    Maia Erickson

    Is an artist and farmer based in Shelton, WA

    She has worked with clay since 2015 and developed her practice through community programs, regional kiln firings, and local and national workshops including at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Tennessee and Penland School of Craft in North Carolina.  

     

    Maia is a current Artist in Residence at Arbutus Folk School in Olympia, WA. She is the recipient of a 2025 Washington Clay Arts Association Open Impact grant and a 2025 Artist Trust Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) award.

    Outside the studio Maia lives and farms alongside the people, dogs, goats, sheep, and chickens at Riverbird Farm.
